Syllabus and Class Schedule

Microbiology: designed as an introduction to college level microbiology for majors and those in related fields such as nursing, medicine and marine science Lecture 3 credits. Plus 1 credit for the laboratory.

Technical Requirements: In order to participate in this course you must have readily available to you (but you don’t need to purchase)
A computer hooked to high speed internet
Microsoft Word (not “Works”) read and write
Microsoft Powerpoint read and write
The College has all of the above if it is readily available to you and you don’t wish to purchase any of the above.

Academic Honesty:Students are responsible for conducting themselves with honor and integrity in fulfilling course requirements. Disciplinary proceedings may be initiated by the professor or college against a student accused of scholastic dishonesty. Penalties can include a grade of "0" or "F" on the particular assignment, failure in the course, academic probation, or even dismissal from the course. Scholastic dishonesty includes, but is not limited to, cheating on a test, plagirism, and collusion.

Course Meeting: SATURDAY and 24/7 Online. Since this course has an online component there are no holidays except Thanksgiving. We will skip Thanksgiving week only. With that exception the schedule refers to consecutive weeks starting with the week August 24 -31
